Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is an acclaimed American actor. Kellie Martin has appeared in a variety of TV and film shows, such as "Christy" which is a drama about a young woman named Christy Huddleston. She is also known as the star of her own Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Born to a department store owner as well as a teacher in kindergarten, Martin was able to begin her career in acting at the young age of seven, when her aunt who served as the nanny of actor Michael Landon's kids, was able to help her get a guest spot in the series of 1982 'Father Murphy'. Following her graduation from Yale University, she took acting seriously and was able to land substantial roles, both on the small and the large screen. Martin was also an artist and photographer. Two-time mother, she's the official spokesperson for Lupus and has been informing people about the illness since her sister died of it in around 19 years old.
